YOUR HOMETOWN SHOPPER TO DIRECT MAIL TO CHARLTON STARTING WITH APRIL ISSUE
Sturbridge, MA – Residents and businesses in Charlton will find something new in their mailbox starting April 1 when Your Hometown Shopper, “Your Source For All Things Local,” comes to Charlton.
For over 10 years, this popular community “shopper” has been direct mailed to all mailboxes in Sturbridge, Fiskdale, and Holland, and enjoyed extended distribution at over 30 high traffic business locations throughout the Tantasqua Region and Beyond. In all, 8,500 copies of Your Hometown Shopper are delivered and distributed monthly. Starting in April, direct mailing of Your Hometown Shopper will extend to business and residential mailboxes in Charlton, as well, with overall printing and distribution now at 10,000 copies monthly.

Your Hometown Shopper Teams Up With the Chamber of Central Mass South to Produce New Membership Directory & Regional Guide
Sturbridge, MA, January 2017….Weathervane Enterprises, Inc., publishers of Your Hometown Shopper, The Journal of Antiques & Collectibles, and the Guide to Brimfield, has just completed selling, designing, and publishing the Chamber’s first annual Membership Directory and Guide to South Central Mass, Enjoy Central Mass South. This new community resource features a complete list and information about all Chamber members, as well as a regional map and information on living, working, and visiting our area. The Chamber plans to print 5,000 copies of this new, annual directory and guide, and make them available at member businesses and other high profile locations around the region starting in mid-January. Over 35 local area businesses supported this first-time project with their ad dollars.

‘Your Hometown Shopper’ Announces New Ownership
Sturbridge, MA, February 2015…….Your Hometown Shopper, a monthly community “shopper” promoting local businesses and services to homeowners, residents, and businesses in the “Tantasqua Region and Beyond,” is under new ownership. Your Hometown Shopper, started in 2005 and published by The Journal of Antiques & Collectibles, Inc., was sold in October 2014 to Maxine Carter-Lome and Jeffrey Lome of Weathervane Enterprises, Inc., who now own and publish both publications out of their office on Hall Road in Sturbridge. The Lomes have recently relocated full time to Sturbridge from Great Barrington, MA.
Maxine Carter-Lome, a 30 year marketing and publishing executive, has a history of building community and promoting “local.” As the sales and marketing manager of The Shopper’s Guide, a weekly community shopper covering the tri-state Southern Berkshire region of Massachusetts, Maxine was responsible for building sales, and the Shopper’s online presence and community outreach.
“Shoppers have a great history of bringing communities together by connecting buyers with sellers, businesses with customers,” says Publisher Maxine Carter-Lome. “Our goal is to strengthen and extend that connection by enhancing our web site and social media outreach, and working hard to be more visible and accessible to readers and advertisers.”
